Australia voted for a change of government last weekend. Personally, I’m still undecided whether the change will be for the good, or for the bad. There is however, one thing I am still certain of.
Politicians still have no idea about the internet. No matter what their persuasion.

Both major parties promised big spending on infrastructure to increase broadband speeds to consumers in this country, with all sorts of fancy announcements about fibre-to-the-node networks, and WiMAX towers.
But they still don’t get it – it’s the backhaul network that needs to be DRASTICALLY improved, or faster speeds to the node or to the kerb, are completely pointless.
